Until September 17th, the pandemic caused by COVID-19 has affected up to 213 countries and regions worldwide, with recordings of over 29.7 million people infected and over 938 thousand have died. In Europe, WHO has warned about the pandemic.
In Southeast Asia, the Philippines is the largest infected country, with 269,407 infected cases and 4,663 deaths. Meanwhile, Indonesia recorded 225,030 infected cases with 8,965 deaths; Singapore is the third-largest infected country with 57,488 infected cases.
In Vietnam, the Health Ministry has reported 0 additional cases of COVID-19 and has lasted 14 days without community infection. Over the total of 1063 infected cases, we have cured up to 936 people.
We can see that the unity of the people, the government and the frontline doctors have brought us positive results. Especially, Vietnam is one of the countries with preliminary pandemic safety measures implemented very rightly, in time and resolute like wearing masks, washing hands, using antiseptic, etc.
Even though the current pandemic situation is contained in the country, we must be on guard to prevent outbreaks.
